This is a free service that is recommended annually for diabetic patients, over the age of 12.
In this examination, drops to enlarge the pupil are instilled and a retinal photograph taken to be assessed by a specialist to ensure they are no complications that may affect your vision. Your results are sent to you directly, via letter, within six weeks.
This is not part of your routine sight test, so be sure to book your regular sight test also.
